March 2024 / NMWA Japan Committee’s first charity gala will be held in Tokyo

On March 4, 2024, NMWA Japan Committee’s first charity gala will be held to send off Ai Hasegawa, an artist participating in the 7th Women to Watch “New Worlds,” and to introduce the activities of NMWA Japan Committee in the past three years since its establishment.

The 7th Women to Watch “New Worlds” is a global exhibition that will be held in Washington, D.C. over a four-month period beginning in April 2024. Ms. Ai Hasegawa will be the first Japanese woman artist to participate in the show. Through the works of 28 women artists gathered from around the world, the exhibition will explore how post-pandemic societal disruptions, reforms, wars, and scientific developments will affect our future.
